Nourishing New Ways

A workshop series for white anti-racists committed to collective liberation.

In a time of political turmoil and tightening systems of power,

the work of white people is to go to the roots.

Like mushrooms decomposing what is dead or toxic on the forest floor, this series invites us to compost how harmful systems have shaped us — transforming hopelessness, finger-pointing, and shame into honesty, skill, and the capacity to nurture change rooted in care.

By doing this, we can transform our ways of being, relationships, and communities from the inside out. Together, we cultivate the nutrient-rich soil needed to grow what comes next.

In this series, we will:

  • Identify what within us and in our systems needs composting

  • Transform patterns that keep us stuck into practices that support liberation

  • Build skills for internal and relational accountability, conflict engagement, and repair

  • Connect with a community committed to growing new possibilities

  • A felt sense of being seen, heard, and held in community — modeling the liberatory practices we aim to build.

  • Expansion beyond trying to “do good,” embracing that this work is about our own liberation from harmful conditioning, reconnecting to our humanity so we can be grounded and courageous changemakers for racial justice and collective liberation in the world

  • Learned embodied practices that increase our awareness, compassion, and ability to track how we personally manifest white supremacist conditioning - so we create more choice in how we act when we feel activated, defensive, or under pressure.

  • Tools and connections that cultivate our capacity to show up in racial justice work for the long haul.

  • Articulated clear commitments and next steps in our anti-racism practice that are aligned with our deepest values
